The Village Players of Everton are joining in the village’s Queen’s Jubilee celebrations with their own special production.

The Drama Queens are back features two one act comedies from the Deck Chairs series of plays by Jean McConnell - Dancers and Day Trippers.

It also features special surprise entertainment, in keeping with the general theme of light-hearted fun.

The two plays are the funniest of a foursome of Jean McConnell plays last performed by the Players in February 2011.

Village Players chairman David Bardsley said: “Our June production falls in Jubilee week, so we wanted to do something with a Jubilee theme that fitted in with the timetable of the celebrations within the village.”

As part of the Jubilee celebrations they are charging a special ticket price of £3.

The price includes a free glass of wine or a soft drink of your choice in the interval.

The performances will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th June at 7.30pm in Everton Village Hall.
