Opera from Glyndebourne is being beamed into Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough next week as the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Glyndebourne Chorus present Rossini’s The Barber of Seville.
Figaro, the renowned Barber of Seville, uses every trick he can muster to outwit Dr Bartolo and ensure his master wins his chosen bride.
But he meets his match in the would-be- bride Rosina who has schemes of her own.
Madcap disguises accompany twists and turns in a whirlwind plot, whilst Figaro’s cunning knows no bounds.
Starring Danielle de Niese as Rosina, this is the first time this masterpiece has been performed at Glyndebourne for 34 years.
Sung in Italian with English subtitles, the screening is on Tuesday, June 21 at 6.30pm.
Tickets are £15 and £13 on 01427 676655 or http://bit.ly/1tgZiSf
