Named as one of Time Out’s rising stars of 2015, Will Varley will play a headline set on the Acoustic Rooms stage at the Splendour Festival in Nottingham this month.
The singer-songwriter has received extensive critical acclaim for his third album, Postcards From Ursa Minor and his Splendour slot is part of an extensive summer of live performances that began with a returnto support slot with Scottish legends The Proclaimers throughout June and into July.
He is also performing three shows with his childhood hero Billy Bragg.
Splendour is one of several festivals he is playing with dates at Blissfields, Cambridge Folk Festival, Kendall Calling, Boomtown, Smugglers Festival and Bestival also on the calendar ahead of another UK tour in the autumn.
His Splendour appearance will be on Saturday July 23.
