Music fans are in for a treat at this year’s Retford Fake Festival on 5th July at Retford Rugby Club with an incredible line up of local talent showcasing their music prowess.

The Vinegar Strokes, Gaucho, Stolen Fridays, Propeller and Southpaw will be sharing the stage with some of the UK’s best tribute bands, including Supreme Queen, The Fillers and The Total Stone Roses inside the huge marquee.

“Choosing the support bands to perform at Fake Festivals is a long process and not a very easy one,” explained Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals brand.

“We have a rosta of bands that we know are extremely good and very professional, but we always like to look out for new talent too.”

“We don’t just randomly pick a band, but we actually go to gigs to get an idea of how they would perform on our big stage, and also to assess their talent.”

The Vinegar Strokes will be providing the warm up for The Total Stone Roses, while Gaucho return to the gig scene, with a set of classic covers perfectly chosen for Retford Fake Festival.

Stolen Fridays will provide something different again, Propeller cover anything from Green Day to Dirty Pretty Things, while Southpaw will open the festival itself.

Anyone buying a ticket to Retford Fake Festival will also receive a free ticket with free camping to The Big Fake Festival at Thoresby Park from 5th to 7th September, with 18 of the UK’s best tribute bands.

This event is exclusively for Fake Festival fans and tickets cannot be bought separately.

Early bird tickets are already on sale at £15 for adults, £8 for a young person (10-17 years), and £38 for a family ticket. Under-nines are free.
