The Olivier Award-winning Top Hat comes to Nottingham’s Theatre Royal next month.
Stepping into the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont, made famous on the silver screen by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, are Alan Burkitt and Charlotte Gooch, who both played the parts in the West End.
The story centres on Travers, a famous American tap dancer, who arrives in London to appear in his first West End show.
There, he meets the irresistible Dale, the girl of his dreams, and attempts to win her heart.
With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, Top Hat remains one of the greatest dance musicals of all time.
The show is at Nottingham from next Tuesday (4th November) until 15th November.
Performances are at 7.30pm each night, plus Wednesday and Thursday matinees at 2pm.
Tickets priced £19 to £45 are available from the box office on 0115 9895555 or online at www.trch.co.uk
