Music acts have been announced to star in the next Coastival in Scarborough.
The next event will be held from February 12 to 14 and already some top-level music acts have been signed up.
Rock band Cast will headline with a concert at the Spa Grand Hall on the Friday supported by Two Skies.
Saxophonist Snake Davis will play at the Spa during the afternoon of the Saturday supported by Jazz Aesthetic.
Asian Dub Foundation will headline at the Spa in the evening, supported by Project 12.
On the Sunday afternoon, Leeds-based rock band Hope and Social will lead a special concert which local people will be able to join in.
Coastival 2016 will return to the three-day format, after this year’s mini festival in February. It will have the theme Celebrating the Yorkshire Coast.
Coastival’s organisers, Scarborough-based arts development agency Create, say 2016’s festival is shaping up well.
Director Wendy Holroyd said: “We are really pleased to be in a position to announce some really talented and crowd-pleasing music acts.
Cast has its origins in the Britpop movement of the 1990s and has enjoyed a string of successful singles, including Sandstorm, Walkaway, Flying and Free Me and hit albums, including All Change and Mother Nature Calls.
Snake Davis is an established musician and as well as touring himself, has played with a huge line-up of stars, from Tom Jones, Tina Turner and George Michael to Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Take That and Calvin Harris.
Asian Dub Foundation has been playing to packed audiences for more than two decades, with a trademark fusion of punk rock, electronic beats, reggae, bhangra and hip-hop.
Coastival 2016 as it will also feature theatre, dance, fine arts, comedy, performance and activities for children.
