Following the completion of their 5SOS3 global tour, 5 Seconds of Summer have announced details of their Meet You There winter tour, which includes a date in Sheffield.

The Australian pop-rock quartet, famous for songs such as Amnesia, Don’t Stop and 2014 UK number one She Looks So Perfect, play Sheffield’s O2 Academy on Friday, November 2.

And 5SOS – frontman Luke Hemmings, guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood and drummer Ashton Irwin – is the only band in history to see its first two full-length studio albums enter the US chart at number one.

Their self-titled debut album has sold more than three million units worldwide, while 2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good charted at number one in 12 countries, including the US, UK and Australia.

They also recently topped the Australian singles chart with their latest single Youngblood, which has enjoyed more than 105 million global streams.

Acclaimed music magazine Rolling Stone said: “Youngblood has a relentless, thumping rhythm, around which 5SOS move between delicate verses and a booming chorus.”

The band play Sheffield’s O2 Academy on Friday, November 2.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 15, at 9am, from sheffieldacademy.co.uk
