Winners of the Best Group and Best Album gongs at last year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, The Full English are playing live at Lincoln Engine Shed next week.
They are made up of Fay Hield, with traditional singer and fiddle player, Nancy Kerr, award-winning singer/songwriter, Seth Lakeman, internationally renowned guitarist, Martin Simpson, double bassist Ben Nicolls and two of the most in-demand multi-instrumentalists on the folk scene, Rob Harbron and Sam Sweeney.
Last summer, The Full English appeared at Hop Farm Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Festival and also undertook a short UK tour.
In February 2014, the band completed their group and album double at the Folk Awards.
Hield also gained a nomination for Folk Singer of the Year.
Such is the appeal of The Full English, whether they are playing traditional or contemporary material, they remain a huge draw wherever they go.
And they are going to the Engine Shed next Monday (4th May).
Tickets are available on 0844 888 8766 or 01522 837400 or online at www.engineshed.co.uk/gigs-and-live-music/2015/may/4/the-full-english
