Lincoln Ukulele Band are hosting an even bigger and better festival in the city this year following the success of last year’s inaugural event.
The Lincoln Ukelele Festival’s special guests will be Mike Krabbers and La Bella Band, both well known on the ukulele circuit, and there will be plenty of opportunity for participants to take part in whole-audience singarounds.
You don’t have to be an expert player to attend the festival at the Bishop Grosseteste University Campus on April 10 from 11am until 6pm. All levels of ability will be catered for and there is a special workshop for total beginners.
One of the highlights of last year’s events was the free cake supplied to the whole audience by Lincoln Ukulele Band to celebrate its first birthday and this will be repeated this year.
The first festival in April 2015 drew more than 200 ukelele players from the area who enjoyed workshops, singarounds and other related activities.
This year organisers are expecting even more people to attend. They have extended the length of the event and invited even more performers to take part in the festival.
