The third week of the Blitz TTC Junior Summer League saw majority of results go to the form book.
Round one of the week saw both matches result in a 4-1 win for each team.
James Longstaff and Daniel Ratcliffe managed to overcome schoolmates Bradley Shaw and Hayden Denman, with an outstanding result for Daniel, beating Hayden 3-2 in an extremely close game.
Kieran Crawford and Sam Phillips paired up to beat Harry Tomlinson and Kieran Cowan, with another superb result for young Sam, beating Kieran Cowan 3-1.
Harry didn’t manage to close the gap at the top when he was beaten comfortably by Kieran Crawford, which meant that Kieran has now opened up a bigger lead at the top.
Round two saw full points go to three players.
Kieran Crawford, Harry Tomlinson and more notably Bradley Shaw picked up the full three points on offer, with Bradley Shaw playing extremely well to take all three.
This round also saw the top two U11s battle it out.
It was Zack Surtees who took the honours this time with a 3-1 win over the nine-year-old Sam.
Both showed some really good skills in this match, with some strong shots coming from both players. However, Zack fought hard and managed to edge the match, keeping him just at the top of the U11 leader board by one point. Hayden Denman also managed to just edge out the Sam in a 3-2 win, which meant that Hayden also picked up a crucial point to keep him in the running.
