WORKSOP staged a remarkable comeback to snatch a dramatic victory in their latest encounter.

League newcomers Foulstone Flyers led 49-42 with less than three minutes to play.

Worksop appeared to be heading for a first defeat of the season until a 12-0 flourish secured the points and maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.

Flyers edged the first period 17-14, with Luke Richardson leading the Worksop scoring.

Flyers surged further ahead as Worksop faltered in the second, scoring just six points to go in at the half 30-20 down.

Worksop hit back with an 8-2 run to start the third period, including five points from Mark Boot, but the Flyers held firm for a 39-34 lead at the final break.

A 6-2 run by the Flyers took their lead to 11 points early in the fourth.

A defensive re-shuffle and a Boot three-point play finally sparked Worksop into life.

Flyers failed to score in the last three minutes and Worksop coolly reeled them back in with a close range two from Jurijs Kamaltdinovs taking Worksop infront.

Further twos from Boot and Steve Lawes secured the points in closing seconds.
