A thunderstorm failed to stop Trent Valley Road Club’s cyclists in their latest Tuesday evening time trial.
The event was a Pot Luck two-up, over five miles using the Marton and Torksey course.
Rider numbers were drawn from a bag to pair them up, and as luck would have it the current fastest duo drew each other.
Paul Brownless and Andy Codd put in a fabulous performance despite the conditions, averaging nearly 26mph to come back to the timekeeper in 11.35.
Matt and Chris Overton finished in 13.27, while Shaun Pycroft teamed up with Lucy Overton clocking 13.48, and Ian Ferraby finished in 14.07 with M. Cullan finished in 14-07.
Paul Pycroft rode solo to produce the second fastest ride of the evening in a personal best 12.22.
