Retford’s Jake Taylor secured a solid finish during the third round of the Swift Rallycross Championship in South Wales.
Having secured solid championship points in the first two rounds of 2015 Taylor was keen to improve on previous results at a circuit he has raced previously as a junior.
He placed 10th overall after the three challenging heats which placed him on the front row for the B-Final.
He ran a near perfect race, infact recording his fastest overall time of the day, to win a place in the A-Final for the second successive round.
Taylor finished in a solid 5th place after a hard fought and restarted A final.
It was no mean feat considering he started from the back of the grid.
Taylor now stands in 5th place with the championship not even half way through.
The championship now heads to Mondello Park in Ireland for a double header on 27th and 28th June.
Taylor said: “It was an amazing day of Rallycross all round, the track was changing with every heat so I learnt to adapt throughout the day.
“After the tough first heats, tweaks to the car and reviewing my in-car video footage with Autopoint helped to outline where I could improve, which I did.
“I am incredibly happy with winning the B-Final, another clean run and my fastest time of the day.
“None of this would have been possible without the help of my primary sponsor Wallrock.”
