Clowne Road Runner Dan Page, one of the club’s multi-terrain ultra specialists, was victorious in the Vegan 3000’s Ultra event.
This race is 55km with 4,500m of ascent over Wales’ highest, toughest terrain, through bogs, down scree and up scrambling hillsides.
Page won the race, breaking the course record by four hours, in a time of 8hrs 46mins.
Club-mate Paul Sadler travelled to Scotland for the Isle of Sky Half Marathon, where 377 runners took part.
Sadler finished 56th in a time of 1.35.57.
Steve Battle was in action at the National Railsport 10km Championships, finishing fourth in 39.30 and winning the over 50s category.
One of Clowne’s top lady runners Louise Lowe is seconds away from breaking the 20 minute barrier for 5km.
At the Rother Valley Parkrun she ran 20.11, finishing first in the over 35 ladies.
Louise’s husband Gareth Lowe competed in the British Masters Federation Championships at Horwich on Sunday.
These races are selection races for England Vests and Gareth’s fourth place, in a time of 15.45, gained him a bronze medal in the over 40s category and should catch the selectors eyes.
The club are hosting the annual Elmton Chase on Wednesday 26th June, at 7.30pm.
Entry for runners is £5 on the night, and the event starts at The Elm Tree Inn, Elmton.
The course is approximately five miles on roads, country lanes and fields, and there will be prizes in all categories.
