Kiveton rider Josh Hill picked up a hat-trick of top 10 finishes at Donington Park last weekend, in the Thundersport GB second round.
The 18-year-old was red hot on the track, despite the bitterly cold weather, making his debut at the circuit.
Friday saw Hill fine tune the settings on his Crossroads Garage Yamaha R6 and set some positive lap times, completing a race run to collect valuable data.
Qualifying took place on Sunday Morning, and the teenager got into his strideearning a place on the second row of the grid in sixth place.
Race one saw him move up into fifth, however braking into the last corner another rider forced him wide, slipping from fifth all the way back to 39th.
But the youngster fought back up to 18th before the chequered flag.
Race two saw Hill again make a brilliant start, setting the ninth fastest lap time of the race and battling to finish in eighth.
The new Megalaps system, which sees the fastest laps from Sundays races make up the grid for Monday’s contests, put Hill on the third row in ninth.
The temperature drop on Easter Monday saw many riders fall due to a lack of heat in their tyres, but Hill rode sensibly to take eighth and ninth positions in the two races.
The delighted Kiveton racer said: “This has been a great weekend, making progress towards the podium.”
“The important thing we did this weekend was fine tune the settings to how I ride and got me comfy on the bike.”
The next round of the series is at Snetterton at the end of April.
