The downturn in weather conditions affected the Retford Wheelers turnout for the weekly club run, as just two brave souls took on Sunday’s outing.
The pair shortened the planned ride around local villages, riding around 35 miles in wet and windy conditions.
This Sunday’s club run is to Caenby Corner, and riders should meet in Retford Market Square at 9am.
Next Sunday it is the club’s annual Hill Climb race up the Gringley Beacon hill, followed by a freewheeling downhill ride, the winner having travelled the furthest.
Riders from Harworth Wheelers and Gainsborough clubs are invited to join in and add to the competition.
The event starts at 10am starting at the bottom of the hill or meet in Retford Market Square at 9am to ride out.
