SEVEN time Classic Racing Motorcycle Club ultralightweight champion Terry Brocklehurst took two victories at Darley Moor in Derbyshire last weekend.
The Whitwell race ace won his 200cc 2-stroke class and went on to race and win in the open 350 class, despite riding a 200cc machine, part of the Worksop-based Spencer Racing/Lea Gourlay Racing stable.
Team manager Susannah Spencer said the open class win came after some good natured banter within the team.
“We had been ribbing Terry about taking the Suzuki out with the bigger bikes as there was big prize money involved, so he entered but we certainly didn’t expect him to take the flag and the cheque.”
“He rode really well all weekend,” she said.
“It was also good to see spectators who had seen the last report in the Worksop Guardian and had decided to travel to watch the races.”
