The Worksop Harriers came away from the final race in the Notts Road Race League at Teversal with six county medals.
Teresa McPake led the way, racing to secure individual gold in the V35 category and playing her part in leading the senior ladies team to bronze medals.
Team mate Helen Broughton also won bronze in the V35 age group.
Not to be out done Peter Roberts (silver, V40), Dennis Learad (bronze, V60) and John Proffitt (bronze, V70) also came away with individual medals, while the Harriers’ veteran mens team narrowly missed out, finishing fourth by just a few points.
The race was run over a undulating and twisting course, covering 5.8 miles of both trails and road.
Team manager Peter Fendley was particularly please with the performance of the ladies team.
“It is the first year a number of our ladies team members have run in the league, and they have really shown great determination to do their best and have all developed and improved throughout the season,” he said.
“The medals are really the icing on the cake and will give them confidence in their abilities to continue that improvement.”
With the senior ladies finishing in 3rd place and the veteran men in 4th, the Harriers’ senior men also put in a solid team performance to finish in 7th overall.
