Waddle was on display at Shaw Lane Aquaforce on Saturday, but not the son of the former England winger.
While Worksop Town midfielder Jack Waddle, whose father Chris played for the club at the tail end of his career, was warming up along with the other substitutes, Shaw Lane’s duck mascot was providing some pre-match entertainment.
A rare sight at NCEL Premier Division level, the mascot danced for fans and delighted the travelling support by falling over.
Shaw Lane went on to win the game 2-1, and as Tigers fans left the ground the PA system was blasting out the sound of a duck quacking.
The Barnsley side are making a splash in the league this season and sit second in the table, four points ahead of Worksop.
Tigers return to action on Wednesday night, at home to Athersley Recreation.
