Sheffield Wednesday star Liam Palmer accepted a challenge to take part in the latest charity fundraising craze.
The Worksop footballer, along with team-mate Jacques Maghoma, had a bucket full of ice and freezing water dumped over them, in what has become a viral sensation.
Nominees are filmed being drenched, and in turn nominate the next lucky people to endure the challenge.
The craze began in America, where nominees and supporters donated cash to the ALS Association which promotes awareness of Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Here in the UK, ice bucket challengers have been raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Stars of world football including Ronaldo and Steven Gerrard have all taken part.
Palmer, 22, was kindly nominated by team-mate Rhys McCabe – although from the video uploaded to the former Valley student’s Instagram account, Maghoma bore the brunt of the icy downpour.
To get involved, text ICE to 70550 and donate £3 to Macmillan, or for more information visit www.macmillan.org.uk
