Gainsborough Trinity Under 16s took on one of the top teams in the division, Wrawby Rovers.
Trinity started very well and soon found the back of Wrawby’s net, but a dubious offside decision denied the Blues of their early lead.
Gainsborough kept their chins up and kept going, and were soon back in front when the ball came to midfielder Ben Wray who slotted home.
Wrawby showed great intent to try and get back in to the game, but defensive trio Mark Raisborough James Caldwell and Thomas Clarke once again defended brilliantly throughout the whole game, and snuffed out any chances.
Trinity winger Oliver Hylton added another before the full-time whistle to give the Blues a deserved 2-0 win.
Trinity u15s made it seven league wins out of seven with a 4-1 victory against Bottesford.
Neither team took full control early on, although Bottesford did hit the bar with a terrific shot from distance.
But it was Trinity who took the lead with a great strike from the corner of the area from DanielKrakow which found the top corner
He could and should have doubled the home side’s lead when a cross only needed knocking in but he put it over.
In the second half Bottesford were soon back on level terms when they were awarded a penalty for a handball in the area which was converted.
Both teams pushed forward to in search of goals and it was the hosts who regained their lead when, after a scramble in the area, Tom Williams found space to prod home.
Trinity got their third when a Krakow shot was deflected in, then a ball into the area fell to Ewan Mckay to fire home his first of the season.
