St Josephs hung on for a 1-0 win at Langold OB to remain unbeaten at the top of Division One of the Worksop Sunday League.
The game started at a frantic pace with tackles flying in from both teams.
The midfield battle was even with Guest and Baker doing well for their respective sides.
Towards the end of the first half Langold’s keeper conceded a penalty for a mistimed challenge and Luke Pickering’s spot-kick gave the visitors the lead.
Langold began to gain the ascendancy in the second half and from one well-worked move late on, Langold’s Finney lost his footing with only keeper Hancock to beat.
Kilton Rovers defeated Shireoaks Sports 3-1 thanks to Anthony Walker (2) and Ado White.
Lokomotiv Millhouse completed the double over Shireoaks Inn, winning 7-2 through goals from Rawlins, Rodgers, Seal and Gabbitas.
