Bell ring in first win of the season

Manton Club 0

Blue Bell 9

BELL got their first win of the season in emphatic style.

An even first half performance from both teams saw the visitors net only once through Tom Stockdale’s header.

The second half was a different story with Stevie Roberts and George Watson celebrating hat-tricks.

Roberts added his fourth before Sy Ross volleyed from 28 yards out, potentially goal of the season for the Bell.

Outstanding for the Bell were Fenton and Searles whilst Baines starred for the home side.

St Joseph’s 3

Bakestome Moor 1

ST JOSEPH’S maintained their 100 per cent record with a hard working display in a fiesty encounter.

The hosts dominated the early proceedings and took the lead when Andrew Guest headed home.

Nathan Ellis made it 2-0 just before the break with a neat finish.

Bakestone Moor pulled one back when their striker went one-on-one with the home keeper, but St Joseph’s wrapped up the points 25 minutes from time when Richardson tapped home after a goalmouth scramble.

Queens 0

Shireoaks Sports 8

QUEENS didn’t seem to get out of bed for this one, as Shireoaks hit eight.

Ben Tickner placed the ball in the bottom corner for 1-0, and Shane Hatton made it 2-0 before half-time.

The second half started badly for Queens as Mark Kidd netted a third, before going on to score another five.

Breakers 1

Anchor FC 4

ANCHOR got back to winning ways with an unconvincing victory over Breakers.

Phil Slowey’s sweet strike made it 1-0 to Anchor, but the home side levelled after a free-kick was only half cleared.

Slowey struck to rgain the lead and just before half ti-me Nathen Griffiths fired home from 18 yards to make it 3-1.

With 10 minutes remaining Griffiths rode his luck and after a deflection finished off the scoring.
