LETTER: Tougher sentences for ‘human monsters’

Please may I, through your column, ask for justice for poor defenceless animals who are continually being subjected to torture, pain and death by ‘human monsters’.

Where is the punishment? Where is the deterrent?

People infuriated and heartbroken react with anger and are hunted by the police.

All this is wrong. It is high time that this cruelty carried out by heartless rotten thugs carried a heavy prison sentence.

Please change the pathetic laws that fail to protect defenceless animals now.

I have written many times over the years and still nothing is done, it just gets worse and worse, and what about all the innocent victims who are not reported in the newspapers?

It’s no wonder that people are taking the law into their own hands.
