A Worksop pub has been presented with the North Notts CAMRA’s Pub of the Year Award 2014.
The Mallard pub, Worksop Railway Station, Carlton Road, received the top accolade on Thursday 19th March.
The pub has now won the award six times in the last 14 years.
Steve Bownes made the presentation at the event which was attended by customers and members of the North Notts CAMRA.
Landlord, Wayne Cadman, said: “I am very grateful to gain the award and I would like to thank all my staff for their hard work and all our customers for their support.”
CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale is an independent, voluntary organisation campaigning for real ale, community pubs and consumer rights.
CAMRA was formed in March 1971 by four men from the north-west who were said to be ‘disillusioned’ by the domination of the UK beer market by a handful of companies pushing products of ‘low flavour’ and overall quality onto the consumer.
