Police say it is lucky no-one died during a mass street brawl which saw metal bars used to hit and kick several men to the floor.

But there is yet to be a single complaint from any victims.

Notts Police has released CCTV images of 17 people they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

All the images are published on page one of this week’s Worksop Guardian - out now.

If you recognise any of them - call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 111 555.

The fight involved a large number of men, and some women, in the early hours of Saturday 12th October 2013. It happened in the Portland Street area of town.

West Bassetlaw neighbourhood inspector Phil Davies said it some were English and some eastern-European.

“We will not tolerate any form of violence,” he said. “Fists, feet and bars were being used at one point. It’s lucky no one was killed.”

“Frustratingly, however, we have yet to receive a formal complaint from any victims and we cannot find reference to anyone being treated for assault-related injuries.”

“A number of men were hit with metal bars and kicked to the floor. At one point a man lay motionless in the road. Was this you?”

Two men, aged 19 and 25, and a 33-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder but were later bailed.
