Worksop: Man threw punches in drunken row

A Worksop man has been given a curfew after becoming embroiled in a late night row.

Alexander Beardsley, 21, of Devonshire Street, was caught on CCTV throwing two punches in the middle of Bridge Street.

The court heard how Beardsley responded violently to aggressive behaviour by a man who made comments about his ex-girlfriend.

CCTV footage showed Beardsley being knocked seemingly unconscious moments earlier after being struck by a man with his arm in plaster.

Beardsely was given a four week curfew from 9pm-5am and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
