Police are investigating after a cyclist was attacked while riding along a Worksop path.
The 30-year-old was punched and slashed to the legs and face as he cycled through a passageway at the bottom of Fleetway into Denbigh Avenue.
The attack took place at around 1.20am on Friday 2nd August.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries. His bike was later recovered with a slashed seat and tyres.
The offender was described as a black man, aged 35-45. He was 6ft 1ins, of large build and clean shaven. He was wearing dark clothing with the hood up and white trainers.
Detective Constable Colette Melrose, of Worksop CID, said: “The attacker was wearing a large duffel coat — not exactly summer attire — and would have been quite noticeable. We’d like to hear from you if you saw him.”
