Children and their families helped to celebrate the official launch of Gainsborough’s newest Children’s Centre site.
North Marsh Road Children’s Centre works closely with the already established Gainsborough Market Arcade Children’s Centre which is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
The centre which provides a range of services for under-fives and their families, has recently developed a new outdoor area for the children to enjoy.
The staff team consisting of Lincs County Council staff, Gainsborough Toy Library, CfBT and Children’s Links organised a range of fun and exciting activities for families to experience.
Families got a taste of what the centre has to offer, as well as running a tombola to help raise money to put towards more resources for the centre.
Children’s Centre Manager, Raj Johal, said that the centre was a great addition to the centre group which already has sites in Gainsborough, Hemswell Cliff and Sturton within the district of West Lindsey.
She said: “Children’s Centres offer a one-stop shop approach, where families with under-fives can come and access a range of services to meet their needs, as well as make friends and socialise.”
“We work closely with a number of partner agencies to deliver children’s centre services and our integrated approach means that between us we can always ensure that we can provide the best possible support for our youngest children and their families.”
“We would love to see new faces and would encourage families to pop into North Marsh Road Children’s Centre and pick up a monthly ‘What’s on’ guide or call on 01522 550318 or take a look on our Facebook page.”
