Drivers are being warned about the closure of a busy Lincolnshire road after litres of paint were spilled following a crash between two lorries this morning (January 4).
The collision, which involved two HGV’s, took place on the A15 outside RAF Scampton at about 7.40am.
A police spokesman said the road will remain closed in both directions until later this evening because the road needs resurfacing and clearing of the wreckage.
He said: “The road will be closed for some time. It should re-open later this evening but it may not be until the early hours.
“It will certainly affect the rush-hour traffic.”
Diversions have been set up around the area but drivers are being advised to avoid the area completely.
Both lorry drivers were taken into hospital but no serious injuries have been reported.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 47 of January 4.
