Police are urging people to keep doors and windows locked to prevent sneak-in burglaries.
As the weather warms up and the nights get brighter, people tend to leave doors and windows unlocked both at night and during the day when in out the garden.
This leads to a seasonal spike in burglaries as thieves are aware of this change in behaviour.
The advice is to lock all doors and downstairs windows at night during and during the day if spending long periods of time in the garden or upstairs.
