A Retford man who committed a series of thefts in the space of just 11 days has been sent to prison for three months.
Christopher Broomfield pleaded guilty to two counts of theft at Worksop Magistrates’ Court, and asked for four further offences to be considered.
All of the thefts involved alcohol, with Broomfield stealing whiskey and other spirits from shops in Retford town centre.
Mitigating, Ian Pridham said Broomfield had intended to sell the alcohol to support his newborn son.
In addition to the prison sentence, Broomfield was also given a two-year ban for all retail premises in Retford town centre bar the chemist.
