Peak District road tops list of most dangerous in Britain

The A537 between Buxton and Macclesfield has once again been named Britain's most dangerous road.

An immediate injection of £200 million is needed to tackle the UK's high risk roads - including one route through the Peak District - a road safety charity has said.

The Road Safety Foundation has released its Cutting the Cost of Dangerous Roads report, in partnership with Ageas UK, and is calling for a major investment to help make things safer on the country's most dangerous roads.
