A Sutton man who was caught drink driving less than a month after being banned for the same offence has been spared jail.
Mark Anthony Hunt, 33, of Alder Way, pleaded guilty to drink driving while disqualified and without insurance at Mansfield Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He was stopped by police on Debdale Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, at 2.30am on December 12 2015, and a roadside test showed 49 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.
Amy Godson, defending, said: “Mr Hunt tells me has realised that he has a significant issue with alcohol and he has become dependent.”
The court heard he was suffering from depression after splitting from his partner and had only recently gained access to his five children.
Hunt had been banned from driving in November 2015 for 26 months.
He was given a three month sentence, suspended for six months, and was ordered to attend an alcohol rehabilitation treatment. He was banned from driving for 40 months.
