A BRAVE Maltby schoolgirl who is battling a reoccuring brain tumour has met one of the country’s biggest boybands.
Niamh Power met all the members of One Direction at a special meeting in London last week.
The trip was organised by the Rays of Sunshine charity and family friend Amanda Turner, who runs Inter Shape in Dinnington.
Niamh, her parents and brother Sebastian enjoyed an overnight stay in the Millennium Mayfair hotel and before Niamh met the band.
“Niamh’s grandparents told me she loves One Direction, so that’s where the idea came from,” said Amanda.
“I would never have stopped until I did this for her.”
Within 48 hours of Amanda writing the One Direction’s agent, the trip had been organised with the help of Rays of Sunshine, a charity which grants the wishes of children who are living with serious or life-threatening illnesses.
Each member of the band spent time talking to Niamh and she was especially happy to meet her favourite member Harry Styles. Niamh and her family were taken to lunch in a limousine following the meeting.
