The bus, which has been loaned to Rotherham’s public health team by pharmaceutical company Pfizer, will be staffed by local professionals and services to help guide people into fresh lifestyle changes.
People will be able to access local lifestyle services and advice on a number of topics including healthy eating and weight management, increasing physical activity, stopping smoking, safe drinking and substance misuse.
The health trainer service will also be in attendance to provide advice about making a lifestyle change.
As an added bonus, there will be a prize draw for people who take part, including tickets to see Rotherham Titans’.
Alison Iliff, Public Health Specialist, said: “The Health Bus is an easy and convenient way for people to get their hands on easy to understand information and help so they can take a few steps towards a better lifestyle.”
