AN international harpist is heading to Retford later this month.
Robin Ward is performing at St Swithun’s Church on Friday 17th June.
Robin is one of only a handful of people who play the triple harp professionally in the world, and he also builds his own instruments.
His talent and mastery of his own handcrafted instrument, combined with his engaging and informative performance approach, is a treat not to be missed.
The programme of music includes music from baroque, classical and romantic periods as well as music from folk traditions with a combination of music originally written from the instrument and Robin’s own transcriptions.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10 for adults, and a donation for children under 18. Tickets are available in advance from the Bookworm, Spa Lane Retford, Retofrd Tourist Information Centre, the secretary for the Friends of St. Swithun’s on 01777 702185, and on the door.
