DON’T forget the Pedal Car Grand Prix this weekend at Queen Elizabeth’s High School, Gainsborough.
The event, on Sunday 12th August, is organised by Gainsborough Rotary Club, who have spent months preparing for the big day.
Practice laps start at 11am and the race begins at 2pm. The two hour endurance race is made up of 14 teams of ten members.
The pedal cars are brand new and purpose-built - this is not for the faint hearted.
But there are several prizes to be won. And all the money raised will be used to support various local charities.
Visitors will also enjoy a six-a-side football tournament, stalls, children’s fair and games.
Olympic torchbearer Megan Ainsworth will also be there with her torch.
Free entrance and parking from 10am. Refreshments available.
