A Retford woman who sped up after being followed by police was found to be over the drink-drive limit, a court was told.
Jasmin Lucy Taylor, of Trent Bridge Road, had been behind the wheel of a Peugeot 206 in the early hours of July 5 when she was eventually pulled over by officers on West Carr Road.
The 25-year-old blew a reading of 48mcgs in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
Admitting the charge, Taylor, who was defending herself at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court, said: “I’m really sorry for doing it, it was really out of character for me.
“I did not have that much to drink, I had two glasses of wine but I did not have anything to eat.”
The mother-of-one was banned from the road for 12 months, which could be reduced to nine months if she completes a drink-drive rehabilitation course before February 21 next year.
She was also fined £300, made to pay £150 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
The magistrates agreed that she could pay off the fine and costs at a rate of £100 a week.
