With the temperatures set to rise again today, Notts Police are reminding dog owners of the dangers of leaving their pets in hot cars – even for a few minutes.

Temperatures inside vehicles, conservatories and caravans can rise rapidly, which can make dogs very distressed and can be fatal.

Please do not leave your pets in hot cars and always ensure they have plenty of cool, fresh drinking water available to them.
