Dinnington: Vulnerable teen punched by ‘cage fighter’

An autistic teenager was assaulted by a man claiming to be a cage fighter in a Dinnington club.

The alleged attack happened at around 12.30am on Sunday 11th May.

The 17-year-old who has Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism, went into the Ukraine Club on Barleycroft Lane and began talking to three men near the pool table.

He says that a thin, white man aged between 25 and 30 years old punched him three or four times in an unprovoked attack.

The attacker had gingery-blonde spiked hair and was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt.

The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered facial injuries.

He said the man who hit him claimed he was a cage fighter.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to call them on 101, quoting incident number 39 of Sunday 11th May.
