DRIVING without insurance has come back to bite a Worksop man.

William Kirk, 24, of Burns Road, was stopped by police officers on All Hallows Street in Retford at 3.40pm on 2nd March this year.

Prosecuting, Catherine Picardo said Kirk was driving a Volkswagen Polo which flagged up as having no insurance on the DVLA data base.

When asked, he told the officers he ‘was going to sort it out today’.

Kirk admits the charge. He already holds six points after being caught without insurance last year. The case was adjourned until 10th October.
