WHY can’t the BBC, instead of teasing and titillating you, just tell you exactly when a new series is starting?
I’ve lost count of the number of times in the last few months I’ve seen a trailer for what looks like a good new drama or comedy show which finishes with the phrase ‘coming soon’.
How soon? This week? This month? This year? This decade? This century? This millennium?
Why do they have to be so vague?
And of course what inevitably happens is I finally find out the show I was waiting for has started - four episodes into the series!
It’s infuriating and bewildering.
What are the BBC gaining out of this? Surely they know well in advance when programmes will be screened. So why don’t they just tell us?
If I’m anything to go by then all the Beeb are serving to do by this baffling policy is lose viewers.
