The Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival has announced its 2012 festival programme.
Artistic director, pianist Ashley Wass, explains the Notes from Nature theme: “This year’s theme explores the natural world as a source of inspiration for composers through the centuries.”
“From Biber’s comical imitations of the animal world in the 1600s to Sally Beamish’s haunting evocation of a 20th Century post-war battlefield, we traverse hundreds of years of music through seven concerts.”
A fine crop of international artists will perform including Maxim Rysanov, Tai Murray, Boris Brovtsyn, Matthew Trusler, Philip Dukes, Katya Apekisheva, Alexander Chaushian and the Escher String Quartet.
Performances are from Wednesday 15th - Sunday 19th August at venues throughout Lincolnshire. See www.licmf.org.uk
