Singer and songwriter Lizzie Goddard has a busy few months ahead of her and is especially looking forward to playing on the same bill as one of her favourite bands, Reverend and the Makers.
Lizzie, from Gainsborough, is on the line up for Party in the Pines on 3rd May in Scunthorpe which is being headlined by Reverend and the Makers.
Last year Lizzie was chosen to attend the BBC Introducing Masterclass sessions in Glasgow.
The BBC Introducing Masterclass sessions see local unsigned and emerging acts from around the country brought together to hear advice and music from established artists, DJs and industry experts.
While there she got to meet Huw Stephens and Jen Long as well as Ben Howard and also performed on their stage at the SO Festival which was aired live.
Lizzie has had many plays of her original songs on local BBC radio stations Lincolnshire, Derby, Notts and Leicester and has done a live session on BBC Humberside.
She gigs regularly in Scunthorpe and Hull and surrounding areas and her song, which she wrote a year ago about the programme Skint, has had over 5,000 listens on Soundcloud and has been well received in the town with people singing along at gigs.
And BBC Humberside has included Lizzie on its Introducing Top 50 songs playlist for 2013 with” Eyes Like Those” and she is one of 500 introducing artists played by The Beat East Midlands.
