A GROUP of female motorbike riders are holding their first charity evening on Saturday 23rd July.
The Birds on Bikes group was founded by Tuxford woman Kim Robinson in 2006. She wanted to dispel popular rumours about female bike riders and wanting to do something worthwhile whilst having fun and meeting new people.
The charity evening includes a Laces and Leather fashion show. There will also be stalls selling a variety of goods such as local lingerie, jewellery and make-up.
The event starst at 4pm at the Roman Way, Newark on the A46/A1 junction. It starts at 4pm.
All the proceeds will go to this year’s Birds on Bikes nominated charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.
“This show will put Birds on Bikes on the map as the women who raise the profile of lady motorcyclists,” said Kim.
Early bird tickets are available at £5 per person. For further details and to buy tickets email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also visit www.birdsonbikes.org.
