A MAN who assaulted his ex-girlfriend in Harworth on Boxing Day has been ordered to do unpaid work.
James Richard Simm, 21, of Coronation Avenue, Misson, admitted the assaults at Worksop Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The court heard Simm threw a drink over his former partner at Harworth Miners Welfare on 26th December. Later the same night as he was about to leave, his ex approached him again and began shouting. He spat at her.
Simm was given a 12 month community order with supervision and was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay his victim £25 compensation along with £50 costs. A 12 month restraining order was also put in place.
