Anston Parish Hall will play host to a Macmillan coffee morning next Friday.
The event, to be held from 10am-2pm on 27th September, will also include stalls selling homemade cakes, books and DVDs, and traditional bric-a-brac items to raise money to fight cancer.
All money raised from the coffee morning will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
A recent survey conducted by the cancer charity revealed that only a quarter of cancer sufferers receive the necessary support from their families.
With a growing number of people affected either directly or indirectly by various forms of cancer, the charity are urging more people to come along to coffee morning such as this to try and make a difference.
To donate an item for the tombola or stall, or to make a cash donation, contact Councillor Joyce Brindley on 01909 518933.
