THERE is a festive treat in store this week with a fabulous competition to win tickets to Sheffield Crucible’s Christmas musical Company this month.

We have teamed up with show organisers to offer four readers a pair of tickets to see the star-studded Stephen Sondheim musical on Wednesday 30th November.

It’s New York, 1970 and Robert is celebrating his 35th birthday. He has good friends, a gorgeous apartment and a girlfriend (or three) to boot.

But is he happy? As his married friends gather for his surprise party, Robert goes on a journey to discover why being alone is preventing him from being alive.

Packed with sensational songs including Getting Married Today, Side-By-Side-By-Side, The Ladies Who Lunch and Being Alive, Company is a fast-paced, funny and life-affirming exploration of love and friendship?

It features an extraordinary cast, including double Olivier Award-winner Daniel Evans, BAFTA award-winner Francesca Annis and double Olivier Award-winner Samantha Spiro, who come together to perform one of Sondheim’s most popular and loved musicals.

The line-up also includes Kelly Price (Waterloo Road, Accused - Helen’s Story), Rosalie Craig, Ian Gelder, Lucy Montgomery (Bellamy’s People), Steven Cree and Alistair Robins.

Jonathan Mumby returns to Sheffield Theatres to direct Company - his previous work includes A Number (also Menier Chocolate Factory), Bird Calls and The Comedy of Errors.

Stephen Sondheim, born in 1930, is one of the world’s greatest living composers and lyricists.
