LETTER: Disregard for public and nature

When Tesco started clearing the proposed supermarket site at the junction of Carlton Road and Blyth Road, there was uproar regarding the total destruction of vegetation and habit for wildlife including the removal of the footpath.

In my view, Derbyshire County Council are just as guilty in the way hedgerows and habitat has been removed recently from the old Seymour Colliery site. Also no prior warning to the removal of the public footpath was given either. A complete disregard for the public and nature alike.
